Hope

When all seems dark
Hope whispers "Wait
Spring always follows Winter."
Do not give in
Do not give up
The burden for a splinter.
Green grass is waiting
Sleeping quietly
Just below the snow.
And joy will come again
To you and I
If we wait I surely know.
So cling to hope
And wait on God
He has never failed us dear.
Kneel and pray
And know He waits
To banish all that's drear.

A Flare

It is a flare and nothing more.
A little gift of this new year.
A flame to remind me God is love,
To teach me to lean on Him.
It is a flare and nothing more,
A minor annoyance on this journey,
A stone in my shoe,
Unimportant.
It is a flare and nothing more.
God give me strength
To walk along
Bearing all He sends my way.
And give me patience to meet each task
That I must accomplish each day.
It is a flare and nothing more,
Perhaps a reminder to kneel
To trust in Him,
I thank You Father
For this gift,
This reminder
This flare
But more importantly
This year of life.

New Year Wish

I kneel and thank our Father
For the blessings of this year.
For all the love He has given
For every joy and tear.
I thank Him for each dear friend
He has placed within my way
I ask Him to stay beside me
And with us always to stay.
I ask him to bless each dear one
That He has given me.
To hold each and everyone
To set their worries free.
God keep you all with His hands.
And hold you near His Heart.

My Christmas Wish

My wish for you this Christmas
Is a simple little thing.
I wish for you that joy
That made the angels sing.
I wish for you that peace
...Come done to earth one day.
When He lay in the manger
Sleeping on the hay.
I wish for you the love
Of our Holy Family.
I wish for you that Gift
Who came to set us free.
This is my Christmas wish.
As simple as it may seem
May God enfold you each.

Making Ready For Christmas

Making ready for Christmas.
Preparing for the day.
When Jesus comes to our hearts.
As he did that Christmas day.
Baking and cleaning.
My home and my heart.
Shopping and wrapping gifts
Are simply a start.
My soul swept clean.
Hope I can keep it that way.
So Jesus will find me
Ready on Christmas Day.

And all you hold dear.
And grant you peace and joy
In the coming New Year.

Sweet evening walks in cooling air.
The smell of hay strong and sweet.
Autumn in all her amazing splendor
Makes every day a treat.
God is around every corner.
...Making Himself boldly known.
Such a joyous and amazing journey.
We never walk alone.
I love the smell of leaves.
The cool and fragrant air.
God is in His Heaven.
And love is everywhere.

Autumn Longing

The morning air is crisp and brisk,
A sweet and chilly feel.
Fall has gathered all of us,
And made herself seem real.
Leaves are changing on the trees,
Dancing at our feet.
Squirrels gaily run around.
Oh Autumn you are a treat.
Pumpkins soon will sit around,
And be each homes decor.
Oh Fall you are too much,
And yet I yearn for more.
