New Year Wish

I kneel and thank our Father
For the blessings of this year.
For all the love He has given
For every joy and tear.
I thank Him for each dear friend
He has placed within my way
I ask Him to stay beside me
And with us always to stay.
I ask him to bless each dear one
That He has given me.
To hold each and everyone
To set their worries free.
God keep you all with His hands.
And hold you near His Heart.
May 2011 Bring you closer to Him
And my you never part.

My Christmas Wish

My wish for you this Christmas
Is a simple little thing.
I wish for you that joy
That made the angels sing.
I wish for you that peace
...Come done to earth one day.
When He lay in the manger
Sleeping on the hay.
I wish for you the love
Of our Holy Family.
I wish for you that Gift
Who came to set us free.
This is my Christmas wish.
As simple as it may seem
May God enfold you each.
And bring you joy remembering.

Making Ready For Christmas

Making ready for Christmas.
Preparing for the day.
When Jesus comes to our hearts.
As he did that Christmas day.
Baking and cleaning.
My home and my heart.
Shopping and wrapping gifts
Are simply a start.
My soul swept clean.
Hope I can keep it that way.
So Jesus will find me
Ready on Christmas Day.
God bless and keep you.
And all you hold dear.
And grant you peace and joy
In the coming New Year.

Sweet evening walks in cooling air.
The smell of hay strong and sweet.
Autumn in all her amazing splendor
Makes every day a treat.
God is around every corner.
...Making Himself boldly known.
Such a joyous and amazing journey.
We never walk alone.
I love the smell of leaves.
The cool and fragrant air.
God is in His Heaven.
And love is everywhere.

Autumn Longing

The morning air is crisp and brisk,
A sweet and chilly feel.
Fall has gathered all of us,
And made herself seem real.
Leaves are changing on the trees,
Dancing at our feet.
Squirrels gaily run around.
Oh Autumn you are a treat.
Pumpkins soon will sit around,
And be each homes decor.
Oh Fall you are too much,
And yet I yearn for more.

Todays Prayer

Today is a new day Lord

Stay with my foolish heart.
I need You always with me
Please never from me part.
I start again today God
Along the Little Way
Guide my life and steps and lips,
And show me how to pray.
I've been a disappointment
A selfish wayward soul.
But I really do love You
Please make my half heart whole

Peace be still
My heart beats
Within my chest
In noisless thuds.
I feel a stirring.
Within my soul
God is,
God knows,
And all is well.
Peace be still,
The world can wait,
There is no hurry,
No need to rush,
To what will be.
Christ is here.
Holding my hand
Peace be still,
He loves us all

Lord hold me up,
I feel so weak,
My body is worn Lord,
I can barely speak.
Lord hear me cry
I so need You.
I am so frightened,
What should I do?
My heart is hurting Lord,
I cannot last,
So hold me Lord.
And hold me fast.
I love my family,
I love my life,
I love being a mother,
And too a wife.
I am not ready Lord,
Please hear my plea,
Lord I am begging,
Lord please hear me.

The first day of summer,
Has to along to play,
Cicadas and crickets
Are part and parcel of the day.
Wildflowers blossom,
Bees busily do deeds,
Butterflies are on the blossoms,
Caterpillars on the weeds.
Summer is here in its fullness.
Rich, hot, and filling the air.
The lazy days of summer,
Lie around us everywhere.

I never knew my father
But God gave me you as a dad.
No greater manly example.
Could I have ever had.
You have been such a blessing,
To my sisters and me,
I thank you for being,
What was not yours to be.
You have stood tall through the years,
Been all God asked and more.
I thank God daily,
For bringing you to our door.
So happy Father's Day Daddy.
You are a gift from above.
I wish you every blessing,
And send you all my love.

I sit and am amazed,
How wondrous God must be!
To create such a masterpiece,
And then share it with me!
I close my eyes in the sunlight,
Let it bathe my face in love,
What an amazing Father,
Who watches from above.
Birds sing of His majesty,
Butterflies show His care.
Flowers tease my senses,.
God has written His love everywhere.
And I wonder who can be so blind
To simply look and not see
God's fingerprint in a turtle
And His signature on a tree.

Sometimes God says no,
And we must smile through tears.
We must carry on,
And let go of our fears.
No matter what the reason.
We must accept His will.
God is a loving Father,
This too is loving still.
Sometimes what God sends,
Falls down upon us like rain,
But hidden there is joy,
Amid the thundering pain.
Sometimes what we receive
Makes no sense to our human eyes.
But we must listen with our heart
And not listen to selfish lies.
Sometimes a no is yes,
In ways we do not understand.
So Lord I accept your answer,
And cling to Your hand.

Lessons From a Tree

There is so much to learn from a simple tree!
Send down deep roots to hold one fast.
Lift up your arms towards the sky.

Everything changes, nothing can last.
Put back for lean and wanting times.
Let go of things we do not need.

Relax and know you will survive.

Take care to root out every weed.

This is a lesson I must learn,

From such a wise old tree.

That one can bend without a break,

And ties that bind still make one free.

Spring Sunrise

The ground is wet.
The cool air sweet,
Birds are singing,
Today is a treat
The world is awakening,
All is quiet and still,
Soon there will be children stirring
With bellies to fill
There is breakfast to fix,
And coffee to brew.
But for now dear Lord
It is just me and You.
Gentle my spirit,
Show me the way
Guide my steps throughout this day.

Time moves swiftly
Like a river
Flowing away from us
What comes comes.
I wait calmly
Knowing only
That what HE wills
Will be.
God give me strength.
God give me patience.
Help me accept
What flows my way.
Like a feather in the wind
Must my soul be.
Flown where ever HE chooses
Making no complaint.
Resisting nothing.
God hold me,
Teach me,
To hold to nothing except you.

One timid little Jonquil
Roused his head today.
Peaking out sleepily
Wanting the sun to play.

It cheered my frozen spirits.
Reminded me Spring would appear

That soon such floral beauty

Would replace this winter drear.

Such an amazing little message

Such a precious sight to see.

God sent this little flower

To show His love for me.

Still your tongue,
Close your external ears,
And listen only with your soul.
Can you hear it?
Do you feel the pulse?
Lent has come,
And we are beckoned forward.
Forward we must go,
Into His waiting arms.
He calls us to fast,
To repent, to pray,
But mostly He calls us
To love, to serve,to be His arms
To all who need Him.
We are His voice,
We are His hands,
We must be His people
Listen, Love, Live,
Choose life this Lent.

Forever In My Heart

I have never forgotten,
The beauty of your smile,
Nor your heart.
You live forever in my memory,
Just as assuredly you live with
Our blessed Lord.
What have these 26 years been to you?
Time flies but I remember
Forever to me you are that child,
Ten years old,
Loving and caring,
Courageous and true.
An angel in human form
No longer sick,
No longer suffering,
Praying for us all.
Forever you have touched me.
Forever you remain etched in my mind,
And forever in my heart.
Tara Loraine Stout,
A child and yet so much more.
I thank you for the gift of you,
I thank God for you in my life.

Sweet simplicity
Speak to me,
Gently flood my soul,
Guide my steps,
So I may soar,
Beyond this selfish plane,
To so much more.
God has chosen simple things,
To touch our very core,
Help me to detach myself,
To see that distant shore.
The sunset is a brighter gold,
Than that sought after ore,
Dew drops sparkle more than diamonds,
And these I treasure more.
God is amazing,
His heart knows no measure,
Let me seek His will,
And unearthly treasure.

Crossroads

I stand here Lord at the crossroads,

Not knowing which way to turn.
Left nor right dear Father;
For Your guidance I dearly yearn.
I am too feeble and foolish
To choose my path alone.
So take my hand dear Father
And lead me safely home.
Show me which road to journey.
Do I stay or do I go.
I wait upon Your disclosure.
I shall be still and simply know.
