Peace be still
My heart beats
Within my chest
In noisless thuds.
I feel a stirring.
Within my soul
God is,
God knows,
And all is well.
Peace be still,
The world can wait,
There is no hurry,
No need to rush,
To what will be.
Christ is here.
Holding my hand
Peace be still,
He loves us all

Lord hold me up,
I feel so weak,
My body is worn Lord,
I can barely speak.
Lord hear me cry
I so need You.
I am so frightened,
What should I do?
My heart is hurting Lord,
I cannot last,
So hold me Lord.
And hold me fast.
I love my family,
I love my life,
I love being a mother,
And too a wife.
I am not ready Lord,
Please hear my plea,
Lord I am begging,
Lord please hear me.

The first day of summer,
Has to along to play,
Cicadas and crickets
Are part and parcel of the day.
Wildflowers blossom,
Bees busily do deeds,
Butterflies are on the blossoms,
Caterpillars on the weeds.
Summer is here in its fullness.
Rich, hot, and filling the air.
The lazy days of summer,
Lie around us everywhere.

I never knew my father
But God gave me you as a dad.
No greater manly example.
Could I have ever had.
You have been such a blessing,
To my sisters and me,
I thank you for being,
What was not yours to be.
You have stood tall through the years,
Been all God asked and more.
I thank God daily,
For bringing you to our door.
So happy Father's Day Daddy.
You are a gift from above.
I wish you every blessing,
And send you all my love.

I sit and am amazed,
How wondrous God must be!
To create such a masterpiece,
And then share it with me!
I close my eyes in the sunlight,
Let it bathe my face in love,
What an amazing Father,
Who watches from above.
Birds sing of His majesty,
Butterflies show His care.
Flowers tease my senses,.
God has written His love everywhere.
And I wonder who can be so blind
To simply look and not see
God's fingerprint in a turtle
And His signature on a tree.

Sometimes God says no,
And we must smile through tears.
We must carry on,
And let go of our fears.
No matter what the reason.
We must accept His will.
God is a loving Father,
This too is loving still.
Sometimes what God sends,
Falls down upon us like rain,
But hidden there is joy,
Amid the thundering pain.
Sometimes what we receive
Makes no sense to our human eyes.
But we must listen with our heart
And not listen to selfish lies.
Sometimes a no is yes,
In ways we do not understand.
So Lord I accept your answer,
And cling to Your hand.

Lessons From a Tree

There is so much to learn from a simple tree!
Send down deep roots to hold one fast.
Lift up your arms towards the sky.

Everything changes, nothing can last.
Put back for lean and wanting times.
Let go of things we do not need.

Relax and know you will survive.

Take care to root out every weed.

This is a lesson I must learn,

From such a wise old tree.

That one can bend without a break,

And ties that bind still make one free.
